3DPF Lion Statue

Firstly, to load the image sequence of the lion statue.

Then after loading the image sequence i continue with automatic tracking under 2D tracking.

This is the final result of the tracker with the 3D trackers everywhere.

Well this isnt a difficult sequence to track in my opinion as the picture has alot of trackers which make it easier to input 3D objects in the future. But i would wonder how does matchmover determines the pictures are in a sequence? Should be from the name and the same folder with increasing numbers? But what would happen if along the pictures, one of the files is named wrongly and not accounted in MatchMover? Would the rest of the sequence be cut off or would the whole sequence be corrupted?

[Project 1] Instagram!

The Instagram app is quite interesting as there are a few things going on in the UI as it involves camera footage followed by a shutter and picture capture.

The UI has a masked video at the centre to simulate a camera live view and it will look like the traditional Instagram interface. When I take a picture, the picture button glows, the video will transition into a still picture with an Instagram filter.

Like before, the UI is then tracked to the handphone. This is to make the animation more dynamic and less static. Tracking was not too easy and not too difficult. It took a few tries but it was okay.

The final composition was compiled together using the same transitions and effects for consistency and flow as to not confuse the viewers.

Story:

Jeremy likes to upload stuff into social networking systems, always using the public settings and no one needs to have any permissions to access his information. He does this all the time, and eventually an identity thief notices. It’s perfect for him, so he steals Jeremy’s identity and presents himself as him. Using his identity, he takes out bank loans, memberships and insurance claims using his identity. Jeremy is stuck paying for the identity thief’s exorbitant bills, and regrets it immensely.

Sound:

There will be no spoken words in the film, just BGM.

Visual Themes:

Warm theme, bright colors for the innocent victim’s scenes
